Like a number of central and eastern European countries, Slovenia is currently trying to accelerate its transition in order to be ready for the switch to all electric sales by 2035.

The country currently has low levels of EV adoption, but has passed specific legislation with the goal of accelerating the transition, by making provision for a comprehensive charging network. Slovenia also offers a purchase grant for BEVs. Ensuring a steady supply of EVs into the country is the best way to ensure an expanding EV infrastructure network.
