EVs in Turkey have grown in popularity over the last few years and saw strong growth especially in the latter half of 2024.
Turkey is looking to keep pace with the European Union as a large exporter and importer of vehicles to the region and the government has enacted a number of policies to boost its EV car market sales as well as manufacturing. However, Turkey currently offers no cash incentives to motorists looking to switch despite previously offering tax reductions.
It is important moving forward that Turkey incentivises their domestic market for EVs and make it as appealing as possible to motorists looking to save money.
