The UK EV market was hit by a delay in the phase-out of petrol and diesel vehicles from 2030 to 2035, criticised by manufacturers and infrastructure providers. Government has however legislated for a Zero Emission Vehicle mandate, which sets an annual target for EV sales - increasing from 22% in 2024 to 80% by 2030 dampening the effects of this delay.
